what went wrong???????

Well this was what i was wondering the whole day, after India lost to Aussie,so tamely at MCG.
The Bowling Attack which was thought to be a weak one, actually performed more than expected, with the Mercurial captain Kumble, leading from the front. There was determination in the runup of Zaheer,RP singh showed occasional bursts of beutifull swing, the Guile which was missing in Bhajji's bowling in the first innings returned back in the second one, and to Top it all, the sheer determined class of Kumble.
the Inspired spell by Kumble, backed up by Zaheer, on the first day, gave a great advantage to team India. How many teams around the world would boast of scalping 9 wickets of Aussie team on the firstday of the test???? and that too after a 100 + opening Partnership.

There was a great chance of making the Aussie work hard for a win,Aussie was bowled out for much less than wht they wd have made, and now the resposibilty rested on the famed Indian batting line up,boasting of having four of the all time best batsmen, in it's ranks, and an upcoming future great Yuvraj.

Dravid walks in , and seems like playing a game of Dodge ball, nmore than trying to hit the ball with the bat, he seemed to be like an upcoming sage trying to overcome the temptation of doing a thing(hitting the ball).Jaffer seems to have been influenced by his more renowned partner, and goes into the same shell, the result??? quite oppsite to what the Aussie counterparts have achieved.

Laxman, Sachin( he was all class, showed why he is the best),and Saurav, played well, but they seemed like runners in a relay, passing on the baton, rather than a duo hunting in pair, and building a partnership, when one player fell another one took over but rarely did they ever build a partnership,
With the way,, Yuvraj( now i really doubt his credentials) and Dhoni got out in both the innings, the future of our test team looks bleak,

All in all the commitment seems to be missing in batting, and they seem to be in half sleep, batting as if in a totally different state of mind!!!!!!!!.

India truly had a great chance of stopping the Aussie roller, after the first day, but neverthless since the game is already lost, its time the team thinks of the next test, at SCG.

A change in batting order is needed, and as for the present scenario, its time that Kumble takes a decision, as of what he thinks. Bring in Sehwag( it was Kumble who wanted him in the squad)as the opener, give Dravid his No.3 position, the right he has earned over the years,or as per his present form, continue VVS at No.3 and bring Rahul at NO.6,that would releive him of the pressure.

Its high time, the team management decides on a correct batting order, and stop making Sacrifices to give place to a so called Phenomenon, who actually isnot!!!!!!!!!!
